I can't wait to try the other flavors, but the original flavor cooked faster then rice, tasted just like rice, and took on the flavors of the dish just like white rice. I will definitely be adding Right Rice into the regular rotation!
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 1 package of your favorite flavored RightRice
- 1 ⅓ cup water
- 2 tablespoons oil - split into 1 tablespoon each
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1 cup frozen vegetables washed and rinsed
- 14 oz extra firm tofu cut into cubes
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sambal sauce or per spice preference
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup chopped green onions/scallions
- Large nonstick pan or wok with lid
- Large pot with lid

Instructions
- Bring water to boil in a pot
- Add RightRice to pot
- Stir well
- Cover pot with lid
- Turn off heat
- Allow rice to sit for 10 minutes
- Heat wok on medium high heat
- Add 1 tablespoon oil
- Add cubed tofu
- Allow to slightly brown on all sides for 3-4 minutes
- Remove tofu from wok
- Add remaining oil
- Add ginger and garlic to wok
- Cook for 1 minute
- Add onions
- Stir well
- Allow to cook for 2 minutes
- Add mixed vegetables, green onions and tofu
- Mix well and allow to cook for 2 minutes
- Return to rice pot and fluff the RightRice with a fork
- Add the RightRice to the wok
- Add the sambal and soy sauce
- Mix well and allow to heat through for 2 minutes
- Enjoy!
Notes
Serving suggestion:
This dish can be served with your favorite Asian dishes, a piece of chicken or fish, or a vegetable stir fry.
Variations:
You can add other proteins based on your preference.
NO ONION/NO GARLIC VARIATION: You can omit the onions and garlic and add bell peppers and extra ginger instead.
