We had Poonam’s husband, Dipesh steal the spotlight in this video and share his secret shrimp recipe. He uses some unconventional spices to give this dish a nice kick and pack on the flavor. This is a low carb, healthy yet delicious dish that can be served as an appetizer, main meal or side dish.

Ingredients
- Mixing bowl
- Frying pan
- 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 large onion diced
- 2 teaspoons grated ginger
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Shaan Tikka powder
- 1 tablespoon Shaan Seekh Kabab powder
- ¼ cup diced tomatoes with 3 tablespoons of water added
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 lime
- 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- 2 teaspoon coconut oil
Instructions
- Heat a frying pan over low heat
- Add coconut oil
- Add onion
- Allow to saute for 3 minutes until golden brown
- Add garlic and ginger
- Add turmeric powder, seekh kabab powder and tikka powder
- Add water
- Add tomatoes
- Add shrimp
- Allow to cook for 6 minutes until shrimp are cooked through
- Add lime juice
- Add cilantro
- Remove frying pan from heat
- Serve and enjoy!
